BILLET YZ
« on: March 14, 2010, 07:18:02 pm »
There is a lot more to racing vintage motocross bikes than where you come when the checkered flag comes out. I met a bloke 2 weeks ago who is not only a top bloke but also THE BEST yz specialist or any other make for that matter that i have come across in my 51 years.  I am not going to go into the reason that he is working on my YZ 465 but his knowledge and eye for detail is second to none. When he is finnished with my yz i know it will be BETTER than when it rolled of the factory floor. He does,nt know it yet but when i find a YZ 250 G/H i will be asking him to wave his magic wand over it. If you need any work done contact  BILLET YZ. The best I have seen. Ian Mcleod. ::)

Yes OTB, he is truly a good bloke.  He took his YZ250G from his house to GMC for a few weeks just so I could get a pipe made for my 250H.  He has been really great to me - I just wish I lived closer, so I could learn from him face to face.

You can't go wrong - he is a legend.  He apparently rides "OK" as well  ;)
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

Thanks fellas,
as you guys have worked out i do enjoy my motorbikes a hell of a lot. My theory towards most things is it doesn`t take much longer to do the job right rather than just slapping something together, it will in most cases cost you more in the long run anyway.

I totally enjoy any mechanical work on bikes (any brand) but Yamahas are my passion, the hard part to swallow is seeing genuine guys place their trust and spend their hard earned money on so called ready to race bikes that turn out to be no more than clean looking, once they need to be repaired the truth comes out and the owner needs to spend all over again.

Geoff at this stage all is travelling ok and i can`t complain, just head down and arse up, see you at HBBB.

My better half has been reading the conversation on here and reckons you guys must have me confused with someone else, i can`t seem to get anything done at home in the last 8 years but i will stay up all hours to work on a motorbike or go for a ride. Sorry but i can`t see the problem. ;)

Glad to hear Pete, that was a hard hit that I wouldn't have survived.
Still the same address I assume, will get a pipe away shortly.

My Missus nagged me for 4 years to screw a towel rack on the wall.
In the end the only way I could shut her up was to actually do it.

Thanks Geoff,
looking forward to try the pipe that`s for sure, and yes the address is still the same business as normal.

A towel rack eh, i would have done that job within a couple of months as it`s a small job. My wife wants a wall painted, now come on that`s a major job. Isn`t it ?  Peter.

My wife can't wait for me to paint walls so she does it herself.
I usually get stuck painting the roof.
But now my son is getting old enough to do stuff I usually insist that he needs the experiance.
