I know the KTM 495 is a great bike. Probly about the most exciting big bore built. But $2000 in that condition :o. Is it worth that ???? Is that the corect swing arm? I thought that model had the old style not the square 1 :-\. I think its 1984 not 1983.

The front end & swing arm on the Kato looks to be '84 although the rear brake look a tad wierd. Should be a twin arm set up but can't really see in the photo's. "83 was conventional forks with disc brake. I have two '84 495MC's, so it will be worth watching.
Cheers,
K

About thre years ago I looked at buying a race ready 495 for $4,300.  Someone else bought it and put it back on the market for $3,600 six months later.  I bought a Sonic instead.

If you want a Canam this woul be the better buy.  And I still kick myself about the guy who begged me to buy his immaculate TNT plus parts bike for $250.
