Thanks Tex. The mudguard is just an MRobert trimmed down to fit.

27  The silencer is the British made DEP. Made to order at circa £90.

Actually we had a leg of NZ Lamb for Sunday lunch last week.
I did wonder if you had been near it.  I made sure it was bloody well done just in case your germs were on it.

No I have some floater stickers. That and zip tieing on the rear mudguard between the struts are the things to be done  ;D
Oh and an air filter and a cage for the box which are on order.  84 85 KX500 fits perfect would you believe .

Wow! John, that looks great. How did you do the white tank? Are they Maier for guards? Your bike reminds me of the mid 80's watercooled TS250X that was available in white.
Wanted - 1978 TS185 frame or frame&motor. Frame # TS1852-24007 up to TS1852-39022

Dirty KX yeah

The fork guards are maier but they dont fit very well, a lot of trimming was needed on the brake side. The other side is just the bottom bit covering the clamp, the top part of the leg is covered by some white 50mm drain waste pipe, not perfect but its ok.
I made the rad scopps out of some plastic that has the same properties as genuine plastics so they should stand up to racing.
The front mudguard is a genuine suzuki 1981 guard but in white for some reason, I came across it on ebay for a couple of $US, no one wanted it.
It was the front mudguard that started me off on the idea.
I've just painted the tank, Its had fuel in for a month and not bubbled yet but it will in the end for sure, it'll wear off aswell but I've made a white tank cover for it, to be fitted yet. I lightly roughed it up then used plastic primer and car spray. I only really painted it to get a feel for the look. I haven't sealed it as I always intended to use a cover and didn't want to spend the dough on having it sealed when the paint will wear off anyway.
