It says NOS guards, but that front guard doesn't look right to me.  ???
But I'm defintely no expert!

Regardless, it certainly looks the part.  ;D

Hi all if you want to see something special then is near the top of the tree. one for luke.
he has the rear axle in the wrong way, and the kill switch is wrong and the kick start lever is wrong, the grips are wrong and the handlebar is the wrong colour, but generally it is spot on, even down to the stupidly rare N spanner. I believe he likes all the black, whereas NOS was straight yellow. I know he DOES have all the original bits, so it bugs me that he changed the kick-start lever. I have chatted to this guy and he bought up a few loads of old Suzuki parts from dealers - hence the RM500 fixation. Try getting parts for those!
I would imagine $2k or more - I shall be interested to see what the 175N  goes for.

I could be wrong but im pretty sure the 83 model RM500D had a black seat....
the 84 went to a blue one with the RM logo on the side...
85 had the RM500 on the side...

It also has cheapy lever sets and a kinked front brake cable ;D

This is a Very low time engine, I would guess about 100 - 150 miles max!

does this mean we can assume the engine did not come out of this bike as the rear brake adjustment shows more than 150miles of adjustment and the underside of the footrests appear well used also. Nice bike regardless but the description doesn't seem to stack up and I'm shit stirring cause I'd like it for my own :P

I only have the one RM500D brochure, but it does look right.
