YZ250H and 465 tanks. What is the difference?
« on: February 26, 2010, 10:43:22 pm »
I have just bought a DC plastics tank skin for my YZ250H. The tank appears to be to wide at the front. DC plastics assure me they sent the right one and suggest that I have a 465 tank. Is there any difference between the two tanks? If so does any one have a 250H tank they want to sell?

The 250H tank is the same as a 465G tank and the 465H tank is bigger again.
Back in the day the pro's ran the 250G tank on their 465's cos it's smaller than all the others.

465 tank is much bigger in the body if that makes sense.  Mounting is the same.
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

Only the 465H tank is bigger at 10Litres, the 465G tank is the same as the 250H and both hold 9L.

Thanks Guys, it looks like I have a 465H tank. Just got to find a 250H to complete my bike.

The 250 tanks look and feel unreal on 465's. Gives them a "works" look and the illusion of the whole bike being smaller & lighter.
Cheers.
