Tony T, I think the spelling was meant to reflect Turn 1 with the massed start ........harrowing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also remember when the event was 1 hour long rather than 2 half hour legs.  One year, when it was held at Port Noarlunga, the tide came in during the race and flooded the bottom end of the circuit.  We were riding through 6" of water.  Also, in those days, the starting groups were spread around the circuit rather than all massed at the single start line.  ::)

There was also a rider walkout at the Laurie Boulter one year.  I think it was 1975  ???  ???  ???  As usual, the Vics came over, stirred up trouble, then left us to face the music.  ::)  ::)  ::)

I note that Russ Elmi is in the program as passenger. Has anyone heard of him recently. I know he rode with Bolholder when he came out but haven't heard of him since.
Also Robin Jones was in the mix and is now back up this way but has no outfit to race as yet.

Funny you say that i notice the Emili motors in the program havent heard that name in a while , nor Taylors.  Still see some of those younger guys about the place.  Dave willoughby, Don Bowey, tony Cook, Ricky dowsett, dave basham,  lutze its a bit of a SA roll call.

Where the "brick Toilet with onsite septic gone ?" Was that up the hill on the atujara track cause ive never used it.

Yes, the Laurie Boulter was run on the Atujara track.  The Levis track was developed later.  The toilets and canteen were above the finish line and commentator's box (highest section on west side of track).

Vince Emili is still in Adelaide and I hear that he has a few Montessas stashed away.
