There is a bike that you never see on the track or for that matter at any race meetings.
KAWASAKI F11M 250, GREEN PLASTIC TANK, BLACK GUARDS. Does anybody know of any of these models being restored or just shitting in sheds rusting away.
It would be very nice to see a genuine one being raced or on show at our meetings, little brother to the F12. 450

Pity the nice sharp green of the tank didn't stay that way. After a few months it ended up looking like a bowl of Nannas pea soup. Our old mate, the late Stan Rose had an originall one owner F11M which he sold to Mick Murnane in Melbourne in the early nineties. Mick raced it for a while but he and the bike have disappeared from the sport.

Gotta love the bike stand though. One for the real Kawi guys!!

Dave, the cover does look a bit like a yz250 a cover, l am sorry for not buying one at the time, Benders in geelong had them on sale, one was raced at the time, where it is now, well who nose. Kawasaki are one of my favourite bikes.

Yes. Ignoring the plastics and the pipe, the whole thing looks very Yamaha (albeit various models of Yamaha).

you guys have it arse about..don't you mean the YZ250A cover looks like the F11M job :P the F11M was released a full year before the Yamaha ;) also only about 200 F11M's were ever made, much the same number as the RH67 and we all know how rare they are now ;)

Dot, I rode my silver F11 at Connondale but that was CD6 not at the titles :) it was really going well but the clutch went south about 2 minutes after I hit the track which slowed things up somewhat. I refuse to ride any bike hard if I cannot use the clutch, I know others say it's no worries but eh..just something I won't do, regardless whether it's an upshift or downshift the clutch is used on every change or I'm not a happy camper ;)
