World Title yes, the first of Gastons 3.
I still have a big autographed poster of Rahier from the 76 Tivoli International, he came to our club on the Monday night and signed posters and answered questions.. Great memories

HI Stan, what was Vic Allans bike...Maico? as I cannot quite make out the bike #.
Don't ask me how to ride a bike or change a gear. I have sat on a couple but never ridden one. My adrenalin rush came from taking photos of the guys/gals racing them up close and personal.

Peter, it was a Bultaco Mk8 (250 I think). When I rode against him in Tasmania he had "A" no "F" (thanks Alison) as his number but the number in this photo at Amaroo looks like "1".

Mk 8 modified with a few Mk 7 bits
Apparently unstrung weight was important
So was RH gear change

Hi Stan    I have a pic of #1 bike from this meet and it has a red tank and cover which carried the race #, white guards and looks like a Husky. The pic is front on so will see if I have a side on shot.

Here's a close up of the pic of bike #1. I have been reducing the resolution of my pics.

Definitely Bultaco and I think Vic Allen due to tartan on his helmet. Doesn't look like a 125 but I'm not sure. The 125 was red however so could be. If it was Bert Flood would have made it a weapon to keep Gastons RA in sight. J
