Hey RN 400,    I have got some top pics of Seymour. Be patient, they will be posted!Riders featured include Gary Chasemore, Lenny Norris, Don Stafford, Carl  Morlang Ray Owen etc.etc.        Couldn,t  agree with you more Slides about the sliders in the pits. All JAP 500's .  Beautiful sight.

Its amazing the amount of people that where involved in some way back in the day, with solo and outfits... :o  :o
Every one I tell about HBBB says "Oh yes I own this and rode that and swung on that"...One blokes wife sold the whole kit and kaboodle when he ended up in hospital for 8 months.. >:(  :'(
Just unreal the people you speak too...it must have been a real weekends outings for so many  8)

Griffith was my favourite track/place. Great people and hospitality and top racing. We went to as many meetings as possible. Leave home at 4.30 am sat.  Lunch at the RSL then around to Connie Shields' place where we were put up for the night. Saturday arvo we'd go out to the track and have a walk around  and say hello then off to  De Bortelis' winery. Hic! Sunday morning early b/fast at Connies' then off to the track for the day. After the last race we'd load up and head south for 6 or 7 hrs. Great days!!!  I reckon theres something in the water up  at Griffith because some of those local boys sure could ride! eg. Peter Lee, Garry Harriman, Paul Tyson Paul Goddard ? etc  regards Mark

Hi Slides, There was no love lost between those Griffith boys when they got out on the track! Garry Harriman was Mr. Excitement. Fantastic rider .  Didn't know what brakes were for. I think Keith Davies took him under his wing if my memory serves me correct. Paul Tyson was real quick and is famous for going over the guard rail entering the straight at Griffith '75 Aust. Titles. Spectacular!!  Peter Lee was just bloody good!!! Pete was 3rd in the 500 and Gary was 3rd in the Unlimited. at the titles. It was probably the most aggressive and exciting racing i have seen. Like i said... there was something in the water.   regards  Mark
