It is so sad there is no regular inner city speedway venue in Sydney. I used to love watching the speedway, as a kid, on Saturday mornings on channel 9. It was better than cartoons  ;D
If the girls of Sydney can get themselves organised and motivated enough to re-introduce roller derby then I think there should also be an effort by the bike racing boys and girls to try and re-introduce motorcycle speedway. It is part of the city's lost heritage  :(

I feel your pain Trailie but the Speedway on CH9 was from Brisbane.
I had an intimate relationship with the old Syd Royal which nearly cost me my life, but I'm still standing and the Concrete that jumped in front of me is long gone.
I would like nothing more than anything to see regular Solo's & Sidecars in the Harbour City every weekend during summer but I can't see it happening.
Too many wowzers in today's society, but don't get me started.
Great memorabilia nun the less.
