RM125S carb spacer

The 1975 RM125S has an aluminium carburettor spacer, which I guess, was an easy way for Suzuki to adapt the "M" barrel along with some changes to the porting to suit the "S" models larger 32mm carburettor.
Does this adapter have a part number? Are they still available from Suzuki?

Hey Traily,
Mine is approx 15mm thick it gas two obananaersunk holes for the screws that go into the barrell, then it has two tapped holes for the carby flange to  bolt to. I cannot see a part number,

Trailie, The S had a 34mm (VM34SS) carb not 32mm. 32mm carbs came std on most of the later RM125's 1976 to 1980. Also to fit the spacer and larger carb to the M cylinder you'll need to remove a fin to get the clearance. The pics below show the S cylinder fitted and I've also shown the RM125M cylinder and the TS125 from '77. You'll notice the number  of fins above the manifold vary between the models and this is the easiest way to tell what cylinder you are looking at. S has 3 fins, M has 2 fins and the TS cylinder has 3



the carb you see fitted to mine is not original. It is a high top 34mm from a vintage snowmobile and the inlet manifold is actually a TS400 item. I bolted the carb on and I've never looked back. Ironically the jetting while not the same as the S carb was absolutely spot on perfect even though it came from a sled

My mistake on the carburettor size, I should have said that I have a 32mm carb that I want to use with a "M" barrel. I do have a spacer for this barrel that I obtained recently and can now see that I do indeed need to remove at least part of the cooling fin above the intake to enable the adapter to fit the "M" barrel. The adapter came with a "S" barrel which has been modified by the drunken porting elves and would require much work and many dollars to bring it back to a useable state   
So I wish to use a second "M" barrel that I have, with 30mm or larger carb for my other motor and as my time is taken up in working on these two projects I would prefer to buy an adapter rather than having to make one myself and I was hoping that there may be a glimmer of hope that they are still available through Suzuki or NOS suppliers.

No worries Trailie, the manifold spacers do turn up from time to time but usually on US ebay as it was part of the hop up kit for the M model since they never got the S. The part number for just the spacer is 13126-41700 If I come across anything in my searches I'll let you know

If someone could measure the spacers they would be very cheap to have waterjet cut.

Its My understanding that the VM32 and the VM34 have the same size Ourtside diameter so either should fit the rubber mount...

yes 30/32/34 all go into the same size intake rubber manifold/take the same slide needle/needle jets just different internal diameter on the intake side

Matt, the odd one was the '76 A slide, it uses a 2.0 cutaway as compared to 2.5 for the S/B/C/N/T. The jet needles are different, 6DP5-3 for the A/B/C and N, the T uses a 6DP17-2 and the S used a 6DH3-3. Not an overly big issue but it 'may' help identify the carb that's being fitted so long as it came from an aircooled RM

maybe ill rephrase what i said which was all 30/32/34mm spigot mount mikuki wheather off of a suzuki/yamaha or kawaski will go into the same rubber intake manifold but CANT guantee the jetting to be close as thats a suck it and see situation
