82-85 rm250-500 vforce reed
« on: January 20, 2010, 11:51:08 am »
I just got a new vforce reed for my 84 rm250 off ebay, it was made for a 87 LT250r and LT500r but bolts up to the rm. The low end on the 250 is way better now with the vforce. This is just some heads up that there out there now. DG

Do you use your RM250 carb boot with the LT250 Vforce? If so, how well does it fit into it?

Yes I use the stock boot, it will bolt up just like the stock rm parts. DG

How does it affect the bike's over-rev? What I love about the '82 is that it revs to the moon and I wouldn't want to lose that, but some low/mid would be nice.

The top end is the same as the stock setup, but the low end and mid is alot better than stock. My boy rides a 82 rm250 and I never told him that I got the vforce for my bike I just told him to get on it and ride he came back and ask what did I do to my bike, he said that the low and mid was so much better than his, Now he is going buy a vforce for his bike.
