Kia ora bro

It's called a 350 Freeride Mick. It's a sort of cross between and a trials bike and an enduro.
Climbs hills like a goat and is insanely fast on single track. Pretty much suits what I want a bike to do.

First new bike in 40 years, the last one was the Suzuki TS90MX back in '73

Just looking through this section to see if there's any trail bikes as bad as mine [not] but a lot of pics don't show, only a space where they should be!!, ones that show are perfect so [Is It just Me?] or do they disappear after an a time?, Thanks.

Brent,
There's nothing better than getting a brand spanking new bike ;D
Are the freerides registerable?

Biggest trouble is Evo that they're only new once! 51 minutes on mine and it's already been dropped

Yes they are registerable. That was a bonus for me as I see a time coming when you will need rego to be able to ride anywhere. NT is pretty easy going but if I go interstate on hols or move (which is on the cards) rego may matter more.

Only done 40kms/1.5 hours so far, but am LOVING it. Seriously threatens to be best handling bike I've ever ridden - I'll wait until I've done some faster stuff before making the call, but signs are all good.
Definitely the best stock forks I've ridden with - I know the springs are too soft for me, but they just work so well that I'm a bit frightened of messing with them...

Oh, and an electric starter that works! ;)

Seems to have made about four other bikes redundant....  :-\ ... :)

300. They're doing 250s as well, but they won't turn up until Feb sometime, and I was impatient.

300cc is the perfect size for a trail bike too i reckon, is it grunty bastard down low?

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

I'm with you Hoony, I took the KTM out on the weekend for it's first ride and loved it. The rider was the weak link in the package though.

Hey Nathan, what size tank is on that Beta? Definately looks the goods.

Yep, all Beta. The motor *looks* like a combination of GasGas and KTM (with a better starter motor than either...;) ). Considering they are the two best established 2T enduro motors, this is a good thing.
It's healthy down low, but not abrupt. I kinda expected a bit more from it right down low, TBH - but stock gearing, and about 2% oxygen yesterday means it will only be better from there. I wish I'd taken my Husky 360 along for a direct comparison - I think the Husky is a fair bit stronger right down low, but runs out of revs a lot earlier. The Husky definitely vibrates more!

8-litre tank. IMS was quick with bringing out a big tank for the Beta 4Ts - I'm assuming they'll do the same with the 2Ts if they need it.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
