Before photo.

So you're admitting to being the one that made it look like a tart's handbag?!  :o  ;D
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

I wish there was still a little bit of me in an 18 year old................  :P

Sorry.............. the beer told me to say it.  :D

P.S. Trailbikes don't come a lot cooler than a DT 1.  ;D  Just don't get it dirty, Firko!

Thanks for the nice words on my old DT1 fellas. It's a sweet old girl and the last concourse resto I can see myself doing. You've got to be too anal and disciplined for that caper. I'd rather build bikes that reflect my own style these days.
The photo was taken at Narabeen Lagoon as a part of an ADB Shoot in 05. Too late Tony, she's already been dirty but is all spik'n'span again..

Is that 'cause of long shocks or a short sidestand?
Top job Mr Firko.
I recall a mate that rode with us that had a DT360-shite what a monster. Had one footpeg missing but never seemed to bother him at all. And he could kick start it in thongs-not normal for a Kiwi, and he rode with an open face with no peak. Total tosser but shit he was fast!!

No, the shocks are stock length NOS original OEM Kayabas. The reason for needing the rocks or a pine cone under the sidestand is that the sidestand bracket on the frame is bent but I didn't notice it until I'd painted the frame and fitted the sidestand. As the sidestand was the very last thing fitted I wasn't about to pull the whole thing apart, blast the frame, straighten the bracket, repaint it and then put the whole bloody thing back together again. The nice piece of hardwood that's under it now will do for as long as I own the bike. ;D

I'll see if I can find a nice peice of vintage hardwood for you. Have you got some dimensions for me to work off or do I have to work the scales out from the 'photo.
If I get it done in time I'll bring it to Broadford for you.
