finally had a look at my vr after it locked up in
practice at the nats it was a gearbox bearing :'(
still had original spanish bearings in her
just replaced them all and have put her
back together road test tommorow :o

I'd say that's a good sign Rusty.  ;) It's probably very original (just like the one I have....... ;D)

I have a VR Cappra 250 engine surplus if anyone want's one for spares. Its been sitting for a long time with water in the crankcase, so the rod is cactus, The cylinder & head seems good, the cases look OK, but have the usual piece missing just above where the chain runs. I have not craked it open to check the gearbox or taken the clutch cover off. No piston (I used it in another bike), no ignition. Engine number 73M5755. Could most likely be resurrected but definately handy to have if you're racing one. $250 plus postage.
