Yep thats correct, the bash plate, rear muffler mount, tank decals and mfg date all indicate its a 80 model not a 83.

I agree they could be T or X or whatever but even if they were the least desirable model 600 for the pair would be good buying. Could build a 1 nice pe175 from the pair plus some new parts, have plenty of spares to play with and be out riding for around a grand all up.

was onto the wrong year model designation straight off the bat Davey but thought it so obvious to to most in the know and of such little consequence I never bothered to correct it wouldn't matter if they were '78 '79 '80 '81 '82 '83 '84 or '85 models, it was the whole deal in general I thought worth posting
