recently i brought alot of motorcycle brochures off a guy called john bishop he is in queensland and he has thousands of brochures he sells them they range in price the dearest one i bought cost me $38 all his brochures are in mint condition  the brochures are from 1960 up to about 1990 he has folders made up of each brand so just ring him and tell him what you want and he will dig them out some of the brands he has are honda, yamaha(lots and lots) kawasaki, suzuki, ktm, husqvarna, garelli, canam(lots),maico, ossa, montessa, greeves, dalesman?,baron?ducati, hodaka, fantic,cz so far every bike ive asked for he has had and sold me a brochure for they include maico,i bought all the bultaco pursang pamplets ktms and a few early husky pamplets so if your looking for a vintage dirt bike pamplet this is your man and hes a nice old bloke you can contact him on (07)33510060 or email [email protected] tell him you found out about it on the forum , he goes to mid ohio every year and sells brochures i told him about cd5 and hes keen to come up and check it out he also has a very nice personal collection of rare british bikes.
he also has magazine tests for different bikes so if your interested call him soon because he just got back from america and is loaded up with pamplets at the moment and there selling quick.

I can sympathise with John Bishop. 98 % of all our sucsessfull sales are done by phone or personal  contact.
There are many keyboard happy punters out there that can bog a business down in spending hours on fruitless replies . We now learned if someone  pics up the phone and rings , he is genuine. ;)

some of us work overseas and cant access phone to Australia - or at least not cheaply - so internet is the way to go.  Also if this is the case why advertise internet business - not necessarily in this case - but as a few people have found recently no matter how I contact them I am genuine about my business YSS!  If you advertise being contactable via email then you should be cotnactable via email - no?

Again - not necessarily in this case but the last coment about somebody being genuine because they call doesn't mean those who dont aren't also genuine.

cheers

I did not mean it like that Rossco, with people from overseas, thats a different story. :o What I meant was people using a website with all the prices ,descriptions and ordering facilities in place and then they E-mail for pricing , description of goods . You then try to do the right thing and answer all those E-mails for 2-3 hours per day for no return or orders. So I understand , when people ignore happy punter E-mails . If they are realy serios about buying , they surely would invest the 50 cents to introduce themselfs , ask a few questions and when it feels right , order the goods , I understand not every body is comfortable using the web order facilities. I personally rather talk to a human.  Just look at it from the companys point of view , receiving perhaps 20-30 nongenuine enquiries everday . That is a lot time. Hmmmm

fair enough - I see what you mean - I just happen to be one of the genuine that usually uses the internet as it works so much easier for my situation.

Thanks

No problem Rossco only tried to let you see the other side of the fence and perhaps it makes a few keyboard happy people think of what is involved to reply ( because  everytime you have to assume its a genuine enquiry and you spend more time on that reply than you think )

oh by the way he said he only uses his email address when hes in USA or not in USA i cant remember which one it was!!!! try phone or type up a letter to him and post. only ask for a few brochures at a time as he doesnt like being overwhelmed by big lists.
