If you put the picture up for the frame it will show the 2 centre mounts. Freaky and Vwalter must still be sleeping ;D

nope - there you go Davey - have seen #19 on the frame picture - yes do have those - it is #18 I am missing.  So the MX tank fits with those in place - good.

Here's a different take on the tank situation. Fit an MX175 steel tank to a YZ250 (f,g? they all look the same to me!) I reckon it looks pretty good. Owner Michael McCook.

As far as I know YZB - MXB frames were the same except for minor mounting brackets for side covers, CDI, Airbox etc, rear tank mount on MXB tanks always crack or break off, a MXB tank mounts straight on YZB frame

I'd say MX250B with YZD forks, MX125B feul tank, webco head and a home made chainguard.

I've emailed McCook for the details of the bike. I'm fairly sure it's a combo of different models but mainly an F model 250. McCook won the AHRMA #1 plate for his division for the pre '78 division (Historic) in 07 on the bike.
The tank is actually a NOS MX 175 item, (blue graphics). I believe the bike was originally built by Joe Abbate.
