hmmm..maybe..maybe not...
« on: December 20, 2009, 06:01:33 pm »
love it or absolutely loathe it to itty pieces, here's a salad I've been tossing around for a while ::)..whilst it's obviously not built to be ultra competitive I did try to create it in the style reminiscent of the era 8)

..what flamin' era was that you ask! ??? :-\

..buggered if I know but eh..with a little more work it could be a fun thing regardless ;D..maybe :P

and now the $20 question, would anyone per slight chance have a half worn or half new 18" K180 Dunlop for the front I could beg borrow steal or even purchase as a last resort? :P kiddin' but seriously I would like to buy a matching 'used' item if possible ;)

I think with the lower profile front tyre it would look a much more balanced thing.

..unlike it's unbalanced creator ;D move over Rokon :D

Hey Doc. Looks good....Go the Rat! Nice to see a bike built for no apparent reason aside that you can! 8)

Now,with a little effort you can mount the front disc, ditch the clutch and kickstarter, add about 180kg (to the bike) and then you might be invited to join one of the most exclusive minorities in OZ with the Rokon's. Passwords and secret handshakes to be given only to the successful initiates..........
WANTED. Canams;all models,complete or parts.SWM stuff too!

Very neat Doc,  8) you'd have a ball playing on the flat track at the Broadford Bonanza with it, bit of a drive though  :-\

Thanks for the comments peoples :) surely there is someone who hates it completely or something about it though? ;) I was unsure if it really did sort of look kind of right or was it simply a figment of my water logged imagination and lack of commonsense. I sort of feel it's on the right track, excuse the pun and the best part is it can all be swapped back to MX guise in about 10-15 minutes 'if' I wanted to. The wheels are indeed GS125 from 1982 but even though '82 this particular style of mag had been around on the X7's and the GT125's since 1978 so it doesn't look too out of place. Johnny I'll take you up on that offer of a tyre, I don't mind slinging some $ to get the right combination ;) I was thinking of hooking up the front disc but it'd mean a fork lower swap, extra weight and people calling me a big pussy :D this is all part of collecting crap and assorted bits, you never get stuck with a boring bike..if it gets boring just change it and you have yourself a new toy to play with until that too becomes optically boring and you change it again..I really NEED to get out and ride more :( ;)

OK Doc, seeing that you sought of asked or at least hinted, I don't hate it, but I wouldn't stop for a good look. Does nought for me.
Cheers,
