« on: December 15, 2009, 10:23:36 am »
Subject heading is the question ;)  Was there ever a rotary valve one like the TS90MX. I cannot find any info on one. Cheers Tim754

I think that Suzuki didn't bother as the TM100L was in the works and released at the end of 1973.

TS 90 MX is a TS 100 rolling frame very different to a TS90 , look at pics in previous post TS 90 MX has a single down tube frame ala TS 100.
TS 90 MX motor is very similar to a TS 100 with different Aluminium cylinder , rotary disc, manifold , 28mm carb, Internal rotor CDI ignition, expansion chamber .
The Ignition and chamber are very similar to a TM 125 but are not interchangable,
TS 90 MX is very different to a Kitted TS 90  ;) and shares its origins with the TS 100.
Brent J knows a lot more about them than i do , he had one in the day. I believe they were sleeved down to a 90cc to fit into Japanese domestic race classes , much the same as a TS 185 hop up kit is actually 175cc to fit in the 175 race class  :)

TS90 with R/T kit

my TS90 is the '70 model with the cast iron barrel as pictured above :( if anyone has a later alloy/steel liner type barrel thats useable I'd be interested. Out of interest TS100 cylinder won't fit a TS90 ;)

Hmmm well looks like a new project in the wind :D Umm anyone got an early TS100 bottom end , I have more than a dozen TC100 gearboxs but only one TS that came from a dam and is totally knackered. Cheers Tim754

what's the project Tim, TS100 or TS90? I have 'some' TS100 spares if needed but I don't have bugger all for the 90's :-\ IF you need piston rings give me a yell as I have oodles of them in near all oversizes from memory ;)

Need  TS 100 parts Doc mostly a complete gearbox, as building one with high/low dual range TC box might be a bit weird even for me :D :D :D :D. I have plenty of top ends to pick over and choose from but will remember the piston/rings offer for sure.

will see what I have Tim, I know 1 TS100 had water damage and I think the other 100 I have in bits was a TC but I'll have a look tomorrow and double check for sure.

whilst on the subject of TS100's, would anyone have a TS100ER or TS125ER swingarm or an RM100B/C head they wish to part with?..all for the same project ;) don't suppose anyone's tried an RM125A/B/C tranny in the 6 speed TS100/125 engines?? :P :-\

Lozza I will  get  the parts book pages emailed to you , that will explain the system far better than me to a knowledgable engineer such as yourself. Cheers Tim         (what a gutless cop out hah! :D)
