Thats the attitude we want. What about the Husband and wife team on the RM do you think you could get them to come along? Remember we can make the rules so I'm sure we could come up with something to accomadate the slower riders and beginers but it has to be workable and simple.

What about the Husband and wife team on the RM

I believe they are too young...don't you have to be over 50/55 for the Masters games.  8)
cheers

The minimum age is 30 so most of the sidecar teams are well into thier old age (probably approaching thier old old age). How many classes depends on how many turn up. Have made contact with the ASA will send an email next week to put them in the picture.

I have been given some more information sent to me so hers the up date.  The games are open to anyone 30 and over as a team there ages will be added together and divided by 2 to get their average age and that will be the age group they will race in. The cost is approximately $200 per team. The rules are to be as MA G.C.R.s  as this is an MA sanctioned event. The sidecars will be racing on Sunday the 7th of November 2010. There is also a vinduro and enduro on the 6th of November the enduro is open to modern bikes however the vinduro is only open  to pre 85 solos and there is also a motocross on the Sunday for the solo's. At the moment we have about 3or4 teams from QLD. I have mentioned on the vmx forum that the event was at reedy creek I have since been corrected and been told it will be on the gold coast somewhere. We will need at least six teams to get a start. The organizers don't mind if moderns  and oldies run together as this will help to boost numbers. If  any of the members are thinking about going to CD7 we might be able to arrange somewhere to store them until November and then the teams could fly in  and get the outfits shipped back to SA.

Good show old chap...well done.  8)
I wouldn't think you would have a problem in finding enough outfits for the grid...
If you get short you can always pull passengers out of the Vinduro or MX class, there is always some one keen to be different  ;D
Happy Christmas
cheers

Odd one reedy creek is in the gold coast shire, there will be 6 in Bmcc next year possibly 7 I'd say all will attend, I can store a couple no worries, and I dare say a few of the other guys could find a spot in the shed for them, you have my number so pass it on if you want

All very good news!!
As a suggestion I wonder if the rule of total combined age including sidecar could be used in this event, that may discurage two 30 yr olds turning up on a modern and making us all look giriatric (spell check reqd.)
That way even Don Newell could ride on a new outfit with a young passenger and maybe pull a medal.

Sounds like a fair rule to me. If everyone who intends to enter is happy I will ask it might encourage more people to enter older bikes which would be great. If there are riders that would have a go if that rule was introduced let me know. Mind you those youngsters will have to be pretty quick to make you and popeye look like geriatrics !
