Jonesy bought this little gem from the US a couple of weeks ago. It's dripping with trick shit, all for less than a grand!

Thanks Vandy..Husky Pete's up there at a family funeral at the moment so I'm trying to con him into picking it up for me.
This is a no brainer fix up. I happen to have a good engine and a clean chrome tank on hand so I'll merely swap engines and tank, fit a new seat cover and tyres, give her a polish and Bobs your Uncle...instant pitbike (or Dunger racer!)for little money.

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

I was soooo close when I first spotted it but then figured it'd probably sit forever till I could afford to do anything but at least you have the bits to get it happening Firko..onya! we need to preserve as many of these oddball orphans as possible..they really are endangered! ;)

Doc, I suppose it comes down to "He who lingers, loses". I saw it as soon as I got up that morning and knowing that I had the engine didn't even hesitate. I'm not a real Hodaka nut but have always respected their place in dirt bike history.
Seeing that Alan had bought that cute little one with the Swenco forks last week I figured that if I didn't want it in the end, he'd have it for spares. It turns out that I know the seller, Craig Eckert who races a very quick '73 CCM.
I've had Jonesy on the phone yesterday offering me a Webco head/Bassani pipe combo for it so the madness has started!. I was going to put all of this pitbike action into one of my Honchos but what the hell!.....Hodaka Firko it is.

I didn't really linger Mark, I looked, I thought and I figured it wasn't for me ;) Speaking of Honcho's..I be working on a set of close ratio's and it's all looking pretty good so far ;D
