« on: December 02, 2009, 06:12:34 pm »
I am after a manual as stated, I'm up to the reassmbly of the gearbox etc as I got the engine in parts & desperately need a manual. There was one on ebay last week but I missed it due to not taking into account Qld does not have daylight savings and missed the auction end :-[
new or second hand does not bother me...............thanks in advance Dave D

That would be an awesome start if you have the time ;)  thank you, as far as I know 86-88 were pretty much the same engine wise, would've loved to get a centre port 490 motor to slot in but $$ don't agree with that theory at the moment.... :)

Anyone out there able to help yet?????

I'm trying to get one off ebay but would really appreciate any scans of engine assembly asap  :)

So far the bike has been disassembled, frame has been modified to take a ktm whitepower shock and later model plastics (2002 cr gaurds, 2002 yz tank etc) then powdercoated blue, front end is back in and swingarm is just getting a bit of a hand polish before going back in. The motor is ready for assembly but I need to check diagrams before assembling gearbox & power valve system..

Any help much appreciated
Dave

Dave D, where are you located?

a few years back a long time Yamaha dealer unloaded a shit load of OEM manuals to a bike shop i know in FTG Victoria "clive carters". they have probably all dried up by now but they were selling them for around $20 if i remember Right. like i say this was probably 3 + years ago now.

Dave try this....its not a manual but a parts break up.
I've had a look around but most online manuals go back to about 94.
Hope it helps but i'll keep searching as well.
cheers...Mario

Well I'm on the way using those images from the site but am now missing one washer/ thrust plate that goes on the clutch shaft before you can put the basket on. There are 2 the same but I only have one.
From what I can gather the part no is 2k7-16154-00-00
Would the local yamah shop be able to get me one ?
