EML i'm pretty sure that's Cameron McLachlan, younger brother of Stewie, leading the junior race in the red open face helmet on an RM125b.
You can see Kev's Maico sitting in the pits with the #030.

You are probably correct as Stewie had a more 'up and at you'- broad shouldered riding stance.
It would be great to sit and study it for a while with better eyes.
No. 45 would be Mike Landman?? so it must have been a fairly large event.

Yes that is Landman on 45 and you can see Trevor Flood's #5 Yamaha in the background.
I've just found my original race program from the day. It is Cam McLachlan on the Suzuki.
Mountain Man was always a big meeting, all the stars from down south came up every year.
Looking at the results Gall won the day and local vintage racer and former Qld champ Andrew Bailey was 5th.

okay, I'm baaaaack ;D don't say I never tried and don't ever download any DVD to AVI conversion software called 4Movy V2. it comes packaged with a big nasty virus that rendered my old hard drive a complete and utter spastic >:( will see if I can't convert the rest of the movie asap. I had it done before the big crash of 2009 but the quality was crap even compared to the first vid I posted :-\ will get it up there sooner or later but maybe best in 3 parts ;) and yes, I agree with Rustle, it was a BIG meeting! 8)

Hell Yeah, I'd pay for a copy too!

I was there that day (as a 13 year old) with my Dad...  Keep looking in the background to see if I can see us!   ;D ;D ;D

Yeah Gary that's Boyle on the #55 Suzuki. If my memory is right i think Gall and Landman were on factory bikes with alloy swingarms and alloy tanks while Flood was on a production bike.

When we raced at Dalby on the weekend, Ronnie Ash gave me some old programs to copy for him. One is from Echo Valley 1975 and all of the riders above seem to be mentioned. I'll see if I can get it onto this page some how though the slot in the front of my computer seems to be too small to mail it direct.
