Fork seals
« on: November 08, 2009, 02:29:24 pm »
A while ago I removed the fork seals from my Cooper and found they were 35-47-7 in size and there were two in each leg. Off to SKF and I got told that 35-47-8 were available but two of them won't fit under the circlip. ??? I left that and moved on to other things to do in the shed, but today I found the same problem with the fork seals in my King Scorpion, two seals 35-47-7 in size. Does anyone know where I can get this size seal, I did try other places previously to no avail. Is it OK to just have one seal or will it need a spacer as well. Thanks

When replacing the front wheel bearings on my modern KTM I found that the seals that go over the top of the bearings were 47x35x7. They are NAK brand, double lip and fit all Betor forks.Just great for my Bultaco's.
Pt no  0760 354771. Get them from Boltons KTM,free postage. $7.50 each.
Another way is to file 1mm off the back of the SKF ones, mostly there is nearly that much rubber on the underside of the seal.

Hello All, I supplied the above seals to monte34 at a cost of $5 each and free postage. They are soft fresh stock with a dust lip as well.

I am able and happy to supply a high quality range of most bearings and seals to other forum members at the same discounted rate, (in most cases up to 33% off).

Feel free and welcome to PM me at any time, with details of your requirements and quantities. I will get straight on to it and return PM you with options, availabilities and prices.

Cheers, Mick.
