Stop making me jealous. Thanks for the offers of places to crash Mr & Mrs Maico and Macca but with just getting back from the Murray, catching up on chores neglected & Daryl leaving for Qld camp first thing Sun morn it just wasn't possible to go.
Absolutely spewing as it is the first one I have missed. I even went last year and only rode one round for the season.
Daryl was cut too, he was looking forward to it too even if his win was by virtually default.
My mate and his son will be regulars now so I might get his son on an old one (Dont like my chances though). Lance has bought a YZ465H which we will have primed and ready for next season. Got 2 other mates nibbling but not hooked yet.
Another local has just bought 3, count them, 3 XT500's from another mate long retired & there's 2 others who say they will ride next year. The biggest shock was Gav Shmidt says he may come out of retirement, if that happens I know 2 others that will ride too. So Ballarat has done its bit for recruiting so it's up to the rest of you now.
News flash; just got a text from the mighty Cook, (NZ best export) & he is doing up a CR250 for next year. I would like to think I could still bang handle bars with him but I'll just be happy to finish on the same lap.
Just like to thank Andy & the rest of the Viper committee for all their hard work this year. It is a thankless job but without it we obviously dont have a series. Thanks also to all the clubs that ran events for us. (No I'm not pissing in my own pocket as it was the club, not me, that ran it) So thanks again to anyone who had anything to do with the running of Viper this year.
Looking forward to hopefully riding a full season next year. Going for a MRI in about 10 min & hopefully get the operation this year so I'm ready for next.
