You probably ain't going to win many races on this thing but it's a cool piece of motocross history. I'm well aware that Alpha are famous for making bulletproof big ends, con rods and flywheels but didn't know that they made complete engines. I'm Googling frantically as you read this to find out more about them.

Firko this is the same motor gearbox combination that is fitted to my 1966 Dot Demon White Strength and it was a very conpetitive bike in its day.  Will be interested in seeing how much it sells for.  I tried to have a look at the add but can't seem to get it to open.  Will try to get into it from another direction.

The barrel head etc are made by Dot and fitted to the alpha bottom end.  Some Greeves models also used this bottom end and both Dot and Greeves plus others from that era  also used different combinations including Villiers as a base to build their motors.

The gear box is Albion as used by Greeves Challenger famous for having more neutrals than forward gears, but to be fair it is the selectors not the gears. It will also have an Albion clutch, I use Indian Enfield plates and springs.
