Hi HL,
The steering head bearings had loose balls.
CR has tapered roller bearings for sale.
I have a pair and they work great.
The kit is not just the bearings.
There is a pressed in lathed centre to make up the difference.
I suggest you buy them from CR as I could not even find the bearings as they are a really strange size.

CR is a brother.
He is still getting over his near death experiance.
This man is worth being patient for.
His products are the very best.

I spent about a week searching for the bearings without success. I don't know where he gets them from but I am happy he found them.

No luck with the seal, it's the same as the bearing etc as the lower 1 from an all balls set for a lot of yamahas including my ty.
OD 49
ID 40 of seal
ID 32 of steel base plate
Not sure if they dimensions help but here is the lower bearing numbers off the all balls bearing
Inner race KML brand  30YMI-G8YI  possibly a C instead of G.  This is where seal locates to
Outer race has same code
Would be nice to know if something else runs these bearings standard instead of an upgrade from loose balls

well this is the seal you need i found it here i save around $50 sourcing it my self bearings and seals  http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/Taper+Roller+Bearings/c1/p43736/Washer+to+fit+32005X+&+32005X/26+Narrow+Section+Steering+Head+Set+Taper+Roller+Bearing/product_info.html

it fit perfect but its a shame you have to get the bearings from wemoto  http://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/HL-324808/

but if you follow the links you should have no problems just you will have to get a spacer made up, i was lucky I have a flatbed CNC so I made my own and pressed them in.

good luck any way hope this helps some one out
