« on: October 25, 2009, 09:45:32 pm »
I have just finished restoring my MK 11 and got it running after a couple of kicks " great "
Turned it off to put on some riding gear and now it wont start.
Checked spark and fuel, all good, reset timing as i have a Femso ignition set up from am old pursang i once had. cleaned out carbie, put in new fuel and still no go,
any ideas ?

Maybe sheared the flywheel key as it stopped - now timing way out?

if you sheard the key make sure you lap the flywheel on with fine valve grinding paste.the keyway is only there to get the timing right the 2 tapers must hold the flywheel on
