TT500......Finally getting around to setting up my old Husky  ;D ;D ;D

I'm just west of Orange, NSW.     Don't mind sending it away as long as it's a good job.

Fernando at Husky Parts in Sydney can certainly do it for you and is reasonably close to you.

If you have the decals (plenty on eBay) you can get it done at any good paint shop that specialises in motorcycles.  I used Advanced Motorcycle Spraypainting in Slacks Creek Brisbane and was very happy with the quality and cost.  They can make the decals if required also.

What side is the drive sprocket on the TT engine?  Is it on the right like a Husky?

Good luck with the project  :) :)

The TT's are left hand drive, I'll probably use a Yamaha rear wheel.

Flip the Husky wheel would be the go Rodge. Everything fits, it only a matter if aligning the sprockets. There could be issues but that's where I would start.

(P.S. How many projects have you got on the trot :o :D.)

Easier said than done, Graeme, the problem then becomes brakes, brake stays, etc. plus, like colj500, I want to keep the Husky part of the bike as original as I can, so if I rebuild the WR motor I can put it back in. I've modified an alloy swingarm to suit the Husky frame, so the original one can be put away for later..............and yes I have a shitload of projects on the go,as I've said in the past,I work on them as I have the money( a rare thing )but usually when I trade for something I can use on one.
Short list......500 Husky(obviously), XR200 KDX, DR400/PE400 frame,TS/TM Enduro.......thats basically the specials, plus about a dozen or so resto's and rebuilds. It is a sickness  :) :) :)
Thanks Magoo, I'll give Stuart a call.

If you don't want to flip the Husky wheel use a Yammy wheel and swingarm ;D.

That would be the go Rodge. I thought you were gonna slip a Yammy wheel into the Husky swinger - that would be fraught with more probs than flipping the husky wheel ;) ;D.

Did a bit more setting up on the Husky.......I think the swingarm was a Suzuki mono unit, shortened it a couple of inches and everything else is almost spot on. '78 YZ 250 wheel, just got to finish the shock and engine mounts, then start on the oil tank and modifying the back of the Husky airbox.

.............and change the sticker to a 500  ;D

How about a Honda  CR 480 motor in a 1980 Honda cr 250 with an ali tank, fox shocks, ali swingarm and reed block ?
Old and slow - and happy
