Interclub day at Somersby this Sunday
« on: October 14, 2009, 07:12:20 am »
Did you guys know that Central Coast Junior Motorcycle Club have invited St George and some other clubs for an interclub dirt track this Sunday? There are classes for pre 78 and pre 85.

Here is a link to their website where you can see classes and a map to the track

From what I understand no membership to their club required as long as you are a member of invited club

geezas where was everybody??,2 pre 78's ,( me & neil cottrell for Hunter club),Shane on his XT,Pauls YZ250 carked it sparkwise 2 nd race of pre 85's,& a guy on a RM400 & that was it folks, pretty disapointing for showcasing vintage DT at a newish venue,Glen Pickering put a bit of effort into organising host club Somesby's events programme to accomodate our  races & 5 turn up!!,geezas you can all watch replays of stoner n co,you can't rerun yesterdays racing, for you guys that didn't make it you missed a great days racing ,track was good, grippy, well run,& well maintained , got through 4 rounds, then the finals for modern 4 stokes, all done by 4,mates place 10mins up the road so i got to watch the GP anyway, :P

Getting my XL350 this weekend so will be out there next year.
Will be getting it race ready in the off season.
Somerbsy is on the last weekend of the month going up and racing a WR250 should be fun.

The track is great and the event went smoothly. I only took my modern bike because my MX is only around 90% sorted and want to be sure it is OK for  Nepean Nov. 8th. The Central Coast guys asked us to bring up the possibility of running an interclub series at Nepean as well.$28,00 to race for 1 bike, multiple classes and a track as great as that was good value. I was told practice days are the same price. I am not sure how many senior classes they run on a normal race day as it is mainly a junior club. It was good to see the littlies having a good ride there. Lots of nippers and future dirt track stars I'm sure
