Nomination for moderators
« on: October 13, 2009, 07:31:46 pm »
Ok. Let's get this out of the way. Nominate three people you'd think would be the right people to be moderators on OzVMX.

Only three. Ok?

Here's mine.

Maico Police
Luis
All Things 414  :P

There. A pretty good balance I reckon'.........

To ruin the thread with the first serious suggestions:

TwistandShout,
Tony T,
GMC.

YZ250H, Mainline, and Vandy would also be worthy of consideration.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

:D :D :D Thanks Nathan, but I'm on here so infrequently that the place would be feral if I had to look after anything.

YZ250H would poke holes in everything and all the internet stuff would piss out everywhere.

Sergeant Vandy might be a goer, he certainly ruled our CD6 campsite with an iron fist ;D

Not exactly:

5. I hope to appoint moderators to the forum. These people will take on the job of looking after the place for me. I'll remain as site admin and will still try to keep on top of how it's all running.

From this thread:
http://ozvmx.com/community/index.php?topic=10051.0

I also want to add JC to my list of nominations.

Being a mod is a cock of a job, BTW. Everyone bitches to you about what other people have posted (think of a 6-year-old 'dobbing' on another six year old, and you'll be close), and if you actual moderate someone (no matter how deserved), then you're the biggest bastard ever... It takes thick skin, good listening skills, lots of diplomacy and a very level head to do it well.

The majority on this forum is level headed ,I believe , just some have different levels   I strongly believe Firko would be the man . He is outspoken, well researched and uptodate . And his spelling is not bad.
Yeah maybe Walter but my wanker radar unfortunately has a hair trigger. Nathan quite rightly said "It takes thick skin, good listening skills, lots of diplomacy and a very level head to do it well".. Unfortunately that same wanker radar is connected to my diplomacy module, often causing overload leading to erratic behaviour. We can't have our moderater needing to moderate himself now can we?
