The head stay is missing. People reckon you can run around without them. Sure. When it's rattled itself to bits, give me a call and I'll give you 100 bucks for what's left..... :P
RHS fuel tap most probably isn't sealing properly and a right pain to fix.
Guards look perished.
Only an act of God is going to keep that muffler from falling off after the first lap. These things run best with the stock pipe and muffler.
Chain tensioner looks like it has a skateboard wheel holding the chain up. The chain 'll probably fall off before the muffler....
Case guards been chewed (probably re tensioner)
Wrong gear lever
Fork boots gone (needs wipers)
Most of the nuts and bolts look pretty shoddy and rough. The front plate is zip-tied on (always a good sign)
and that's just looking at the pics.

It is however pretty much there. There were only 337 manufactured and it is one of only two others that I know of in Aus (that I don't own). It's the closest most of us can ever get to a works bike and they go real good. You'd be wanting to fix all of the above and probably more because the thing about these bikes is the further you get away from stock trim, the lousier they are to ride.
(They'll probably end up in a magazine however..... :D)
Amen. ;)

Not quite true. I'm selling a 414 and a 360 at this stage. More to follow (maybe).

The market is getting crowded - there's a pretty ratty VB250 on EvilPay for $1800 - and that rattyier Brisvagas VR250 back on for about $5000.

Quality will always sell itself. There's never a lot of Monties out there at the one time. The guy with the VR is on another planet. The VB 250 would be ok though I reckon'.  ;)

I think $1800 is 'top of the market' for a not complete, non-original, jumping out of 2rd gear bike. Ditto the $3000 VF. But that's me. I look at them and see myself spending another $3000 and time restoring them. But you're right, that quality name on the side of the tank is sure worth something - the X factor 8) ;D.

Work in progress ::).

It's getting quite close now. I think I've got most bits just a matter of polishing, cleaning, painting and assembling (I think/hope ::)).

Took the frame, engine cases and bit to be bead blasted on Friday.

That's called a H6. An enduro. 6 speed and very good bikes by all accounts.
The 414's were motocrossers and came out in 79,80 and 81. Four speed.
