I must be strange ::) but Laurie Alderton was always a stand out for me and I enjoyed watching him; fast, smooth and undramatic.

In the modern era, Reedy, for pretty much the same reasons.

(Shane Watts with an honorable mention for that first lap at the Aust ISDE.)
