is the maggie coil mounted on the stator for the spark on the top left hand side on a angle?and what would the resistance be for this coil and the h/tension coil?

correct primary coil location yes
resistance (between the leads) should be about 1.1 ohms
resistance of the insulation (between the windings and the metal core) should be at least 5 megohms

late edit..for ignition coil the resistance between the +/- leads should be about 2 ohms but it can be less in some instances

thanks for that Doc,ive got 2.2 ohms but when playing with a brush cutter spark module and victa coil wjth it plugged into the black/yellow stripe wire even kicking over super fast i got spark some times when i shifted to the tellow/white wire i got a fat clicky/click sounding spark so might shift this coil into the faulty coils position as they seem to have the same bolt spacing as a cheep fix to get it going,i got it off epay for the rm125m pipe new retread back tyre and new chain/spockets for $150 and will use the chassis for dirt track with a rm125s motor as i dont like long travel bikes for sliding on

resistance for this should be in the range of 5000-11000 ohms going by the good book ;)
