What are these triple clamps?
« on: December 11, 2009, 10:18:47 pm »

They're a set of 35mm XL250 Motorsport forks in them, but they're definitely not Honda triples - something European.

And are they pre 75 legal?
What about pre-70 legal?

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

They're Betor OSSA for sure. I'm using them on my pre 65 Hindall Ducati, pre '70 Cheney Yam and have had 'em on the DT1 from Hell since the 80's with no Nazi finger pointing. The DT1 ones came off a '70 ISDT Pioneer and the rest are identical and come off different OSSA models.
Great clamps because of the double pinch bolts and they polish up a treat.

Gday Nathan, hope you are well. See the bolts with lock nuts on the fork caps, do you suppose they are to adj the spring preload? By the way thanks for that bit of friendly advice quite a few months back, when you told me just to do the race thing and not get too caught up with all of the formalities. Ive done four or five days at nepean at in the last 6 months and just had a great time.
Cheers Brett

Oppet, those are definitely Canam forks from an MX3 125/175 or 77 Qualifier 175/250

Nathan, the triples are definitely Betor, either Ossa or Husky 125/175 if the offset is 56mm & distance between tubes is 135mm.

Bul & Canam betor triples are somewhat similar but Bul's had less offset (34mm) & Canam had wider forktubes (145mm)
