Help! XR80 timing chain

 Have started a resto project on a 1985 XR80 for my Son. ground up rebuild and loving it! Need help with how to replace timing chain. have all the new gear ready to go. and have head removed from bike. Where to now? can clearly see the timing chain loop around the crank. and think i will have to split crankcase. Is there a better way. If not where should I start and what should i look out for?
any and all help greatefully  accepted.

I would assume all you would have to do is remove the flywheel and then pull the chain out over the end of the crankshaft.

thanks for the advice, have removed the flywheel and stator plate, if the oil seal is removed from the crank end i may have a chance, any tricks on doing this without damaging the seal.

  Thanks for the tip LC4, removed the seal with a pick damaged it but hey they are cheap. and removed the cam chain over the end of the crankshaft with out any swearing at all was a litle fidley getting the new one in but all up took about 5mins.

YOU WILL HAVE TO SPLIT THE CASES AS THE OIL SEAL HOLE IS NOT BIG ENOUGH TO REMOVE THE C/CHAIN, THAT ONLY WORKS ON Z50, C90 TYPE ENGINES

Works on SL100/125 XL100 CT125/185 CB,CL 100/125 etc etc  and about every other upright Honda single I have ever worked on and not rooted any seals ....I must have been lucky

Definatley will work with XR80!!!   have Just done it!!!!!
