Jc,
The seller doesn't know what phantom's they came in a mass spare parts lot.
They should fit all phantoms as the crank and stator mounts should be the same, I just don't know if the gp2 and 3's had a smaller flywheel to fit under the smaller case.

Th OSSA phantom ignition will fit under the newer style side cover as will a PVL ignition. The desert phanton ignition cannot be used on a MX phantom unless you swap the crankshaft halves, the desert phantom ignition will not fit under the newer style sidecover.
I know that it is a bit pricey but a PVL or MZB ignition is probably the way to go. the swapping crank halves is costly and I wouldn't have done it had the MZB ignition with the lighting been available.
When my desert phantom engine motoplat dies I'll be replacing it with an MZB, My GP3 engine uses
a PVL and my GP2 engine has a rebuilt Bradford motoplat.

Someone is claiming that neither of them suit a phantom (I think it might be Keith Lynas)
Anyone deny/confirm....hate to get something that's not going to fit, nearly as much as missing something that will fit.

The second unit looks to be a phantom MX unit which will fit under the new cover, attached is photo of a new stye cover I cast a few years ago.

Did you sell one of these on ebay a few years ago?
I bought a homemade one...it was very well done.

 Evo,
Yes it was I. I had I had more funds I would have die cast them instead of sand casting. I keep a couple for my bikes and sold the rest to Alex Snoop.
