« on: October 15, 2008, 11:32:24 am »
Just wondering will the barrell and head off a 125G will fit on a 125F bottom end. Thanks.

Correct. And the spacing of the studs that hold the barrel to the cases is different too.

You can fit YZ-D/E top ends, along with monoshock DT125/175 top ends, or IT175 before 1980. Or IT125.

The earlier YZ and the DT parts will both require a different exhaust pipe (or mods to make the F pipe fit).
IT125 barrell will take an unmodified F pipe.
Not sure about IT175 bits (but I think they require mods).

Apparently a YZ125E top end and pipe is the hot set-up to avoid the peakiness of the standard F.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

IT175F is a bolt on fit as the barrel casting is the same, just different boring diameters for the sleeves.
Bfore the first IT125 was available (125G) it was a gun setup to convert a 175 to a 125 with a barrel swap (works for E & F models)
