Sloppy 34mm forks
« on: October 29, 2017, 07:32:06 pm »
I need to fit bushes to the top of my TY250 forks as both legs blow seals & if I grip each leg with the wheel out there is definite play in them
Does anyone know of a 34mm fork that has bushes in the top of the sliders or am I going to need to custom make a pair with a fairly thin wall thickness?

Possibly need to make them
Race Tech does not have 34mm

Or try a bearing shop who has these

I will have the fork legs machined and these inserted in my RT1 racer over Christmas.

Any good machine shop should be able to do it!

If I had a half decent lathe I'd have a go myself. Can't be that hard!

So far the bushes listed over the counter are either 32mm or 35mm bore so it looks like it may end up being bronze bushes made to fit
