« on: January 05, 2017, 09:33:33 PM »
Looking for advice or thoughts on fitting a 34 Mukuni carb to a 74 CR 125m. Interested to know how the performance was affected and what jetting specs were used.
Any advice,help is appreciated, thanks

Hatrick's can supply them with close jetting. 34 is on the large side for VMX r TVideability. You will need a matching air cleaner boot and manifold.
If you love it, lube it.

Thanks for your help Momus. Back in the day some guys did run the 34 Mukuni's, just wondering if it would give a performance gain over the 30 / 32 Mukuni's that guys are currently running on their CR125m's. Have spoken with Hatrick's who have been very helpful, re jetting.

I had a 34 on my M2 backing the day. The manifold and cylinder inlet port needs to be matched up . The manifolds are still available from mikuni so Hatrick's should have them , the air boot will be a bit harder to find but they are around.

l run a 30  on mine and am happy with its rideability and vastly improved resistance to loading up. It will probably go harder with a 32 or34 at the expense of power range. Fitting tip is to turn the spigot on the carby down and use the std manifgold.
If you love it, lube it.

30mm or 32mm is perfect for relatively standard engines. A 16mm spacer between the inlet manifold & cylinder add torque (hard word to use with a 125) & with that mod a readily available RM125A/B air boot is a perfect fit. 34 & 36's are for modified engines in the hands of guys who can use the power at 15,000rpm.
