FOR SALE, KX250A5, excellent cond *** SOLD ***
« on: August 24, 2014, 01:02:02 am »
For sale, my second KX250A5, it seems a very low use bike, since doing the following work it has only done two 3-lap races at Viper last year and two 10 min sessions at my own track.

The only negative aspect that I could say about the bike is the chain had previously taken-out the original sprocket cover mounting lugs, hence the non original guard that I made.

The price is $4300, I will not be accepting any offers, it is worth the money.  I will not be changing the spec of the bike AND I will not be negotiating by email, I've already had confusion with someone by doing that.

For another $1000 I'll tip-in a spare complete engine.

* Fresh resleeve, new piston & rings.
* New plastics.
* New bearings & seals in crankcase.
* New wheel bearings.
* New swingarm bearings, seals & bushes.
* New headstem bearings.
* Near-new YSS rear shocks with comp & rebound damping adjusters.
* New .45 kg fork springs.
* New fork seals.
* New grips, Scott half-waffle.
* New fork boots.
* New PFR pipe & muffler.
* New RK X-ring chain & sprockets (alloy rear).
* New Unifilter airfilter.
* New tyres front & rear (never ridden on).
* New heavy-duty clutch springs.
* KDX cylinder head (fin dampers - quieter).
* 10mm less offset triple clamps (much improved steering & handling).
* New carb needle & needle jet.
* New alloy folding gearlever.
* Wide footpegs.
* Rubber bar mounts.

I have a 09 250 two stroke and it looks the right shape , just unsure about the spline.
Did you like yours? Mine needed alot of jetting before it smothed out.

Hi John, Would you be interested in selling the original triple clamps if you still have them? Thanks Col.

Re: FOR SALE, KX250A5, excellent cond - $4300. Spare engine avail.
« Reply #12 on: October 14, 2014, 12:17:35 pm »
Still got the bike, the spare engine that I will let go with the bike for $1000 is available separately for $1500.  The spare engine has pipe, carb & complete electrics, it still has original sprocket cover lugs (might swap the engine with the one in the bike?)

I know this is a bargain, after just buying a couple of bikes that are suppose to be 'ready to go' and seeing the time & money they required to meet my 'ready to go' level.  To buy & build another A5 would cost you over $6500.
