hard to get bearings
« on: June 29, 2008, 02:09:43 pm »
I need some 25mm OD or 63/64” OD heim/spherical bearings/bushings.

I’ve tried the IKO catalogue and it seems all I can get is 22, 26 or 1 inch OD.

I don’t want to ream out eyelets to 26 or 1 inch OD.

Is my only option to make sleeves and use 22mm OD bearings?

its seeming like my preferred size of 25mm OD or 63/64” OD is non existant

Wanted - 1978 TS185 frame or frame&motor. Frame # TS1852-24007 up to TS1852-39022

they are a weird size i think 25mm will work but in all honesty i think they are 63/64

i need ID to be preferably 12mm but larger is fine.

width of outer race no wider than 17mm but can be narrower.

i need minimum of 4 but if they are are to get i think its worthwhile stocking up

well im pretty sure the bearings measure around 25.05-25.10

hang on ive got an old one in hand and with verniers now and im getting 25.03-25.05mm

i have to press the veriers together real hard to make them read exactly 25.00

i reckon 25 will do it as im not going to find 24.98 bearings

ok YSS has some but i would be looking at around $380 for 4 :o. i just cant really afford that. i think my limit would be around $50-$60 each

any other ideas?

who else manufactures spherical bearings other than IKO?

maybe i can get some from USA a bit cheaper.

25 is an od size that was made only for one manufacturer . They paid for the setup .
YSS are 26 and cost less then a third. Just bore up the eylets to 26 and then your bearings are alot cheaper.  ( Or buy new shocks then the bearings are already init.)
