you need to get it shipped or freight forwarded to Long beach, thats where he fills his containers, thats the port of exit.  you will have to get it there as thats where the Customs Docs are attatched to the container.

Just revisiting an older post since there is some great info here.

That said....

I am well down the path of bringing in another "project" (to Oz a pre 1984, not working bike from Michigan.).... and get the whole "no title no leave" thing.

Got that sorted.

I am now told I need registration detail... WTF? 

All the detail I can find suggests that as an ROV (Recreational Off road Vehicle ) does not require registration.  This appears to be linked to proof of ownership relating to the seller but I could be wrong. 

Anyone struck this before?, Appreciate any replies.

Classic USA Imports brought my Bultaco to Sydney. $950 all up except for the GST and no title needed. Would recommend them.
