Pretty cool for 73
Single sided swingarm and front end would be good for Pony express events for quickly changing punctures, plus you only need one spare wheel as they are interchangeable.
I would go the Rotax version
The Hägglund XM 72 is a motorcycle from the Swedish manufacturer Hägglund & Söner, which was from 1973 to 1977 built and delivered to the Swedish Armed Forces. In 1974, a venal civilian version was offered. [1]
The prototype of XM 72 Hägglund, the Swedish military, had a two-stroke engine of Sachs with 293 cc displacement, of an automatic continuously variable V-belt transmission and a propeller shaft in the one-sided swing arm drive the rear wheel. The frame consisted of a steel monocoque, the front wheel took a single-arm pushed Short wheel. The wheels were the front and rear the same and interchangeable. The production model of the Hägglund had a conventional telescopic fork, a single-cylinder two-stroke engine with 345 cc, 76 mm bore and stroke (stroke ratio = 1 "squared interpretation"), which was supplied by Rotax.
