78 pe 175 exhaust

has anyone here had experience removing the baffle plate in the guts of the pipe, fair chance
mine is blocked up. thanks reg

Would a PE have baffles in the main pipe?  I would have thought it just had mesh around the inner wall?  I never had one open so don't know.

FWIW. No baffle plate or restrictors in a 185 pipe apart from the removable baffle at the end
.cant see why one would be in a pe as it would play havoc with the waves in the chamber wouldnt it?

I believe the 78 has baffles. Should be able to make out where it's welded from the outside....

from memory the baffles were spot welded in so look for those before cutting

Tuff to remove,  I found it much easier to cut out a section containing the restrictor, so you can get at it from both sides. It's very robust  :)

lot of flucken around, get a rm125 with stuffed header pipe cut it off weld yours on at the factory join,a lot less welding and mucking around and looks 10 times better ;)

Dare I say it, is that an RM125B optional alloy swingarm on the PE?  Oh, and RM125B forks & rear shocks.
