Most of the Marburg Museum bikes are ex USA imports.....he has some cool shit there.....mostly 70.s era bikes....my favourite....multitudes of multi cylinder 2 stroke road bikes.
QVMX.....Australia's #1 VMX club......leading the way.

The Rokon in the 1976 Kenilworth photo can't be the one in the Marburg Museum.  Apart from the low pipe, it also didn't have the integral carry rack on the back.

I'd say the bike in the 1976 photo has more in common with the bike in GMC's photo then the bike in the museum.

The R/T Rokon in the museum is a 1975 model. It still has the high pipe and conventional suspension. New features were a beefed up frame at the steering head, a 21" front wheel (spokes available as options over the mags) and a plastic tank. The 76, in addition to the changes from the '75, had a low pipe(!), laydown shockers and the later ribbed longer travel Betor forks. The pic of the Kenilworth bike is of a 76 model. My bike pictured by Geoff and Tony is a 76 model.
The 73 and 74 models were very similar to each other.

So the question is, where's that bike now?

Nice pic! Got any more? :)  Perhaps that is the QLD bike and it wasn't the earlier model at all. 1976 was at the tail end of the line for Rokons 'conventional' motorcycles.

Yeah, I've got one more shot of that Rokon.  Same bike, same river, but it doesn't really help much.

I'll make some enquiries.  That rego label definitely looks to be a Queensland label, so someone up here should know who rode a Rokon in 1976.
