Rm80 year identification

Can anyone tell me what uear my rm80 is frame number is rm80-17270 engine is rm80-17076
Any help cheers people.

1977 RM80B. 5 speed , non leading axle forks  ;)

I need right handsode crank case has a crack in it and original muffler whats parts have you got i may need more

hmmm..apart from original plastics those 2 items (rh case and muffler) are probably next the most sought after parts for the 80B. Mufflers you'll really have to keep you eyes peeled on ebay and such. Sometimes a seller may list a pipe with the muffler in place not knowing it's value. '77 B /'78 C same part.

I've had the right side case welded. Cracking around the kickstart cast stop/idler gear carirer area is near 100% assured on all but extremely low hour examples.



Had a few welded by Bushell Engineering in Bris. northside. http://www.bushellengineering.com.au/ with good results (but my 80's don't get flogged mercilessly like they once did ;D) When looking around also keep in mind the 80B engine numbers ran from 10001 - 23193

Doc - was there an RM80A - in 76 - to match the YZ80C?

No RM80A. In '76 it was still TM75. Hardly a match for the YZ80C  ::)

Hypothetically..if ever there were an RM80A the b&w pic above would be close. It shows a pre production model. Different shape tank and sidecovers, no chain tensioner and the front forks/triples also differ from the production model  ;)

ta - thats what I thought - was a kid racing at the time and the first one I saw was the RMB - YZ80C's before then cleaning up everything.  They were rare as hens teeth where I was and I lusted after one soooo bad

Any chance of fixing that crack its pretty back peaces are just sitting there broken.
