TM , RM 125 Down pipes
« on: November 26, 2013, 07:52:19 am »
Dont want to hijack Petes thread but some questions were asked about pipes in the thread .

http://forum.ozvmx.com/index.php?topic=32151.0

The pipe Pete made for his bike is a work of art and a credit to him , and the best S pipe i have seen bar none  8)

Heres a selection of Down pipes for TM , TS, RM 125 M & S models

TM 125 original with pickle muffler , the owners handbook advises you will gain 2 HP if you run without the muffler  :o

TS 125 factory kit pipe , no muffler at all , indentations are to clear footpeg , brake pedal

RM 125M pipe pressed steel construction and small permanently fitted muffler

RM 125S pipe cone construction with small permanently fitted muffler , this one has had a fitting put in the header for dyno tuning  >:(

Aftermarket cone pipe with built in muffler , inside the pipe is a reverse cone that ends where the stinger tube starts .

Of all the pipes i have found the S pipe and the aftermarket pipe to give the best performance on TM and RM 125 S .

Pipes with distinctive cones always work better than stamped or hydroformed sections. The S looks like it's has a tapered header as well.

GMC TM / RM chamber

Thats a nice pipe  :) i have a number of geoffs pipes on my bikes and bikes i have on sold . YZ 125A the GMC pipe for this bike has to be the best bolt on horsepower you can buy  :)

RM 250B  bolts straight on and delivers better power every where , i have since sold this one and have another on order  :)

RM 400N another straight bolt up job

RM 125B bolts straight on and gives more over rev than the original  :)
