Do I smell TS?
Yerp The baby TS frames are way lighter than the TM. most is actually the wall thickness of the tubing although some of the frame is a larger over all diameter specially the backbone and that extra large gusset on the headset. Maybe they beefed that bit up after Suzuki seen what JR did to the RH.
If one was to consider strengthening the TS units, replace the brake support/web with a longer one that extends to the foot peg and another on the bottom of that bend as TS frames will snap behind the peg. Have broken two 185 frames in the same place. Could have been from loose engine mounts and big air but it was fun doing it
The swingarms share the same part number although the TS units have the chain guard tabs and rear footpeg mounts which make it a poofteenth heavier till you get the grinder out.
The seatbase on the TS is slimmer than the TM although it dont look it but it is a lot heavier, a bloke may know where you could get a lightweight glass one
